About Player A

Player A is a contemporary jazz group that features some of the top studio session players in the Nashville, TN area. Certainly known for it’s country & gospel music industries, music publishing, and famed Music Row, Nashville also boasts the last bastion of consistent studio work for quality players, as well as some SERIOUS jazz talent.

While known to the music world and artists who may live and work here, such as Michael McDonald, Vanessa Williams, Kenny Loggins, Larry Carlton, and Victor Wooten, these session players have mainly flown under the radar to the national and international audience.

No more. Producer, keyboardist, and Creative Soul Jazz president Eric Copeland brings together the top names in Nashville’s studio session world like bassist Gary Lunn, guitarist Mark Baldwin, and drummers John Hammond and Brian Fullen, (as well as over a dozen more players) showing the world the jazzy side of their amazing talents.

Player A is also a busy production team for other jazz artists including Creative Soul Jazz label mates, David Slone, Kerensa Gray, Ronny Smith, and Drew Davidsen.
